Dr. Karim joined Bucks-Mont Eye Associates in August 2019 after finishing his fellowship in cornea and external disease. A native of the Washington, DC metro area, he went to Richmond, Virginia for his undergraduate education at Virginia Commonwealth University and continued at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine for his medical education. He excelled academically in medical school and developed an early interest in ophthalmology. In his free time, Dr. Karim enjoys outdoor activities, photography, playing drums, cooking and urban living.

Dr. Karim is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship training in Baltimore, Maryland. He was awarded the Intern of the Year award, the Senior Resident of the Year award, and developed an interest in teaching residents during his fellowship year. His publications and conference presentations during residency and fellowship included work on laser cataract surgery and antibiotic eluting sutures for corneal surgery.

Dr. Karim is excited to offer the latest techniques to his patients for treatment of medical and surgical corneal conditions, cataract surgery and glaucoma management. Most importantly, Dr. Karim is deeply committed to providing compassionate and ethical care to all of his patients.
