Alina Balasa, O.D.
Dr. Alina Balasa has joined the Bucks-Mont team as a residency trained optometrist. A native of New Jersey, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. While enrolled, she earned clinical honors from all of her external rotation sites. Post-graduation, Dr. Balasa completed an Ocular Disease Residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Dr. Balasa earned her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University where she was also a member of the Women’s Tennis Team.
Additional Information
Since completing residency Dr. Balasa has worked in private practice as well as within a large multi-disciplinary health care system and hospital settings. She has also completed her board certification in Optometry. Dr. Balasa practices full-scope optometry including diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, pre and post-operative care, and routine and specialty contact lens care.
It is anticipated that Dr. Balasa will be available to provide continuing care for Dr. Robinson’s patients, including many of his specialty contact lens patients, as Dr. Robinson will be retiring at the end of 2020.
In her free time, Dr. Balasa enjoys playing tennis, hiking, rock climbing, and traveling with her husband.
